I voted for

I Voted For:

Last Midterm Elections, I voted for Dr. Martin Bautista. I believe in the new breed of "alternative politicians." There was also this Catholic Priest intervied on television having faith in him and his group named "Ang Kapatiran." They are offering alternative politics as opposed to "TRAPO" (a tagalog slang for "TRAditional POlitician" and actually sounds like a piece of cloth used for cleaning surfaces or floof, like a mop). I think people should be wiser nowadays in choosing who will they vote for during elections. I actually voted for Bro. Eddie Villanueva last 2004 presidential election. When I first heard of the news that he will be running for president, i laughed, i laughed big time bro. What on earth does a spiritual leader thinking of when he filed his candidacy?? But when I heard his platform of government and his background, WOW! It blew me off my seat. He was a member of the board of Student Reagents of PUP when he was still an Economic student, a student leader/activist and after graduating, he became an Instructor at the same University(which happens to be my Alma Mater). And a couple of years before he ran for president, i saw on a documentary program on TV his achievements for his group (Jesus Is Lord) and the members, a housing project.

If Given a Chance, I will vote for:

Of course, that will be AMONG Ed Panlilio. A Priest running for Governor in the province of Pampanga. He is just like when Isabela Governor Grace Padaca first ran for office. An underdog, a dark horse among the "giants" running for office. He's the a lord, in his own league, among the lords of the province. Among Ed, the "Man who prays to the Lord" versus "Quarry lord" (ML) and "Jueteng lord (LP). There was this story told by one of his supporters(unfortunately, I forgot his name) about a guy who went to an owner of a printing press. "Manong may-ari ng printing press, maaari mo bang tumbasan itong pera ko para ipam-pagawa ng pang-kampanya ni Among Ed?" He fished a PhP1000 bill from his pocket. The owner was moved. It looked like the guy who approached him was keeping the money for emergency use and yet, he is whole-heartedly giving it to support Among Ed. He gladly obliged and supported Among Ed by donating a large sum of campaign materials. See how people support him?
And there's this opposition Congresswoman who's running for reelection. She voted twice for the impeachment of Mrs. Arroyo, and obviously pressured by the administration by not approving her CDF or dergatorily called "Pork Barrel". Because of lack of funds, she was able to finish projects from her fund raising campaigns, instead of using the money for the national fund allocated to her district. Now, she is facing a big-time boxing hero, a "national hero" to be more elaborate, no other than, the GREAT Pambansang Kamao ng Pilipinas (National Fist of the Philippines), from the red corner, the administration ticket I should say, Manny "the Pacman" Pacquiao! As of May 15, 2007, the partial, unoffical results, even in the precint where he is registered, she knocked the wits out of him. She is no less than incumbent Congresswoman Darlene Antonino-Custodio (the author is actually a Custodio.Ü)

And Makati Mayor Jejomar Binay. Period!

And I Will Not(Read: NEVER) vote for:

Well, who else but the GREAT Pambansang Kamao ng Pilipinas (National Fist of the Philippines), from the red corner, the administration ticket I should say, Manny "the Pacman" Pacquiao! what the hell is this guy thinking! A boxing champ who hasn't even finished elementary education who luckily passed an examination that qualified him as a High School graduate, who dreams to take up Political Science in, well, the Ateneo de Manila University (you wish!), running for a legislative seat (it was rumored that he can't even spell L-E-G-I-S-L-A-T-I-V-E). He thinks he's the MAN among the Men! And always has this line that goes, "Ang akin lang naman, gusto ko lang naman makatulong sa mga mahihirap." What more can i say.
